The ideal candidate should possess strong academic credentials and be admitted to practice before the USPTO. Duties:Draft and prosecute patent applications in the fields of immunotherapy, gene therapy, cell therapy, and related areasRespond to office actions and communicate with patent examinersConduct prior art searches and analyze patent landscapesAssist in preparing legal opinions on patentability, validity, and infringementCollaborate with inventors and attorneys to develop patent strategiesAssist in the preparation and prosecution of patent appeals, interferences, and reexaminationsStay updated on developments in immunology, virology, and patent lawProvide technical and legal support to clients on patent-related matters Requirements:Ph.D. in Immunology or Virology3+ years of experience prosecuting patents in the immunology and molecular biology therapeutic spaceAdmission to practice before the USPTO Education:Ph.D. in Immunology or Virology Certifications:Admission to practice before the USPTO Skills:Strong technical and scientific background in immunology and virologyExperience in drafting and prosecuting patent applicationsAbility to analyze complex technical and legal issuesExcellent communication and writing skillsAttention to detail and accuracy in legal workAbility to work independently and as part of a teamKnowledge of patent laws and regulations A regional powerhouse firm with strong political history, this firm is regarded as the 15th Best Law Firm in the Mid-Atlantic.
