Position Summary: Our client, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for entering medication orders, managing automated dispensing machines, and ensuring accurate distribution of medications. This role requires strong organizational skills, a solid knowledge base of medications, and the ability to interact effectively with patients and staff. Key Responsibilities: Medication Management: Enter medication orders into patient profiles accurately. Assist with the use of automated dispensing machines (RobotRx, ScriptPro). Prepare and package non-sterile compounded pharmaceuticals. Inventory and Billing: Stock medication shelves and return excess stock to inventory. Assist with management of inventory levels and resolve billing errors. Correctly distribute controlled substances. Customer and Staff Support: Respond to telephone inquiries and provide excellent customer service. Assist with the training of staff. Complete special projects as assigned by the supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to assist with the preparation and delivery of patient medications. Process Improvement: Process patient care orders using the electronic ordering system as required. Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent medical certificate, or 2-4 years of experience working in a clinical healthcare setting. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with consumers, administration, and staff. Current certified Pharmacy Technician license. Minimum of two years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician. Strong computer skills and knowledge of medications. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to stand and walk extensively, and handle the physical demands of lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring patients.
