Discover how AMN Healthcare is crafting incredible futures, one amazing career at a time.Job SummaryThe Accountant I, Tax, works as part of the Corporate Tax Department to assist with the income tax compliance process and in the preparation of the tax provision work papers.Job Responsibilities * Prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns * Maintains and updates the overpayment and refund schedules for provision and compliance. * Assist with the management and resolution of notices from federal, state, and local taxing authorities. * Prepares and assists with the review of estimated/extension tax calculations and vouchers and coordinates payment schedules with Accounts Payable and Cash Management. * Assists with the preparation of significant book to tax adjustments. * Assists in responding to questions posed by internal and external auditors.Key Skills * Attention to Detail * Financial ForesightQualificationsEducation & Years of Experience * Bachelor's Degree plus 0-2 years of work experience OR High School Diploma/GED plus 4-6 years of work experience * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting| PreferredAdditional Experience * Tax or accounting experienceWork Environment / Physical Requirements * Work is performed in an office/home office environment. * Team Members must have the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.AMN Healthcare will provide reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities to enable them to perform the essential functions of the job.Our Core Values* Respect * Passion * Continuous Improvement * Trust * Customer Focus * InnovationAt AMN Healthcare, our diversity, equity, and inclusion philosophy is grounded in the belief that we should respect all voices, seek different perspectives, and succeed when we act together as a positive force for all of humanity.
