We are currently seeking an Assistant Controller for our Frederick, MD location Job Summary: The Assistant Controller is responsible for providing consistent leadership and oversight for the overall financial health and operations of the business ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local regulations. Ask your recruiter for more details: All positions are eligible for healthcare (medical, dental, vision, prescription drugs) on day 1: Many wellness programs to support your physical and mental health: Paid Time Off to include holidays: Maternity and Parental Leave: 401(k) savings plan: Company paid Basic life insurance and AD and D insurance: Company:paid Short:Term and Long:Term Disability: Employee Assistance Program Essential Duties/Responsibilities*: :Assists with management of local accounting and operational team ensuring ongoing fiscal health of the business.:Assists in timely preparation of monthly financial statements, P and L, balance sheet as well as management of WIP, inventory, receivables, et cetera.:Assists in creation and management of annual budgets.:Assists in month end close, meeting all deadlines and due dates.:Investigates any discrepancies and ensures that timely and accurate corrections are made.:Assists with preparations for audits.:Maintains compliance with all federal and state regulations.:Continually searches for ways to improve results and effectiveness.:Responsible for recommending process/operational improvement.:Interface with other internal departments in the resolution of business issues as required.:Assisting assigned team and management with various duties as requested.:Follows all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety. :Other duties as assigned. * Duties may vary by location. Minimum Requirements: :2:year college degree with an Accounting / Finance concentration.:Excellent computer competency is required, including a minimum of 3:year experience Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook with exceptional experience in spreadsheet management.:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.:Must be able to communicate in English effectively, both verbally and in writing.:Ability to manage projects and resources.:Ability to work overtime with little notice; weekends hours may occasionally be required. Preferred Qualifications: :4: year college degree with an Accounting / Finance concentration.:Able to communicate in Spanish effectively, both verbally and in writing.
