In February 2013, CHRISTUS Childrens finalized an agreement with Baylor College of Medicine, ranked as the 6 medical school by U.S. News and World Report in 2020:21. Baylor College of Medicine recruits, employs, and oversees physicians at the childrens hospital. Baylor College of Medicine (bcm.edu) is recognized as one of the nations premier academic health science centers and is known for excellence in education, research, healthcare, and community service. BCM is currently associated with multiple educational, healthcare, and research affiliates. Summary The Division of Hospital Medicine of the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine has an opening for a faculty position at CHRISTUS Childrens. This position comes with a faculty appointment within the Department of Pediatrics, a competitive salary, and full benefits package. Job Duties Responsibilities include the provision of hospital care to pediatric inpatients, including overnight coverage; consultations and co:management of sub:specialty, surgical, and psychiatric pediatric patients; pediatric sedation; teaching fellows, residents, medical students, and staff; active involvement in inpatient quality, safety, and administrative activities; and protected time for academic/scholarly activities in clinical informatics, outcomes research, child advocacy, education, or quality improvement. Minimum Qualifications stylemargin:bottom:11.0px:: MD/DO degree.: Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (or eligible for same).: Board certification in General Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (or eligible for same).
