APC has always thought of its staff as family and provides competitive wages, salaries and excellent benefits Position Overview This is a skilled position requiring the individual to perform maintenance and repair of all company equipment by performing the following duties. This position will be primarily a lube technician position. During the slow season the tech will be required to work in the shop performing maintenance on trucks and equipment. **This position is for a swing/day shift and will require the ability to work weekends and travel as well as working after normal business hours most of the time. ** Wage Range: 29 to 35 per hour, based on experience. Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) : Primary responsibility will be performing preventative maintenance services on trucks and equipment.: Operates and inspects machines or equipment to diagnose defects.: Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists and hand tools.: Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.: Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.: Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.: Repairs or replaces defective parts.: Services equipment as necessary.: Lubricates and cleans parts.: Welds broken parts and structural members.: Must be able to function in the role with minimal interaction or supervision much of the time.: Other duties assigned per supervisor. QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience : High school diploma or general education degree (GED). : One to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.: Class B CDL with Hazmat required. Work Requirements : Must be 18 years of age or older. : Must pass pre:employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check. : Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook. : Must be willing to work nights and weekends, when necessary. : Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and productions areas as stated by OSHA. Knowledge/Skill Requirements : Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.: Ability to work collaboratively with a team in a fast:paced and complex environment. : Ability to work in a safety sensitive construction setting, including exposure to moving machinery and heavy equipment. : To perform this job successfully, an individual should be to work in constant exposure to the outside elements, in all weather conditions.
