About the Role: We are looking for a Front-end Software Engineer with a passion for modern JavaScript web development to help us continue to grow as a leading DTC eCommerce company. You will have an opportunity to work on a variety of projects: those that directly impact our customer experience, including marketing promotions, product launches, and store feature enhancements, and those that focus on improving our daily operations such as marketing analysis, order processing & fulfillment, and CX. As part of a small but agile engineering team, you will enjoy autonomy and ownership in your work, and have a say in making various small and big technical decisions. This role will report to the Lead Software Engineer. This is a full-time, hybrid role with company benefits based in Squatch HQ in Marina del Rey, CA. The anticipated base compensation range for this role will be $120,000 - $150,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market rates. What You'll Do: Develop and maintain our Shopify store (Vue.js + Shopify Theme) Collaborate with Digital Products and Ecommerce Marketing team on running promotions, product launches, and configuring AB testing Create pages with various UI components, such as hero, banner, and page layouts Build reusable components, in clean and easy to maintain code Working closely with UI/UX designer, translate UI mockups into working code Build animated UI features with varying complexity About You: Minimum 5 years of professional front end development experience Strong understanding of JavaScript, React or Vue.js or another front end frameworks Competent in advanced CSS and CSS pre-processors such as SASS or LESS Excellent communication skills Interest or previous experience in eCommerce preferred; Shopify experience is a big plus Self-motivated, capable of working independently and autonomously Experience working in the consumer products industry is highly preferred Someone who gets things done without perfect resources is innovative and works with a sense of urgency Someone who has high standards takes ownership and is invested in the outcome Someone who proactively helps others stays positive and has a good sense of humor #LI-TC1 #LI-HYBRID #LI-FULLTIME Who We Are: Our core values come naturally and make us a better, more whole, and unique team.
