Your Opportunity As a Financial Operations (FinOps) Intern, you will: : Develop a comprehensive understanding of FinOps principles and practices.: Gain hands:on experience in using tools such as AWS (Amazon Web Services) Cost Explorer and other Cloud Cost Management tools.: Cultivate skills in financial analysis and budget management within a cloud environment. This internship aims to provide a well:rounded experience, fostering both technical and collaborative skills essential for effective financial operations in cloud environments What You'll Do (Primary Responsibilities) : Assist in monitoring and analyzing cloud usage and costs to identify areas for optimization and potential cost savings.: Utilize tools like AWS Cost Explorer to gain insights into spending.: Generate and maintain regular reports on cloud cost and usage metrics, helping the team make informed decisions by providing insights into variances and discrepancies.: Collaborate with the team to ensure cloud resources are correctly tagged for accurate allocation and cost tracking.: Collaborate with technical and financial teams to develop and implement best practices for Cloud Financial Management.: Contribute to the preparation of financial reports related to cloud expenditures to help the FinOps team to provide stakeholders with clear and actionable financial insights.: Explore and implement automation tools to streamline FinOps processes.: Conduct research on latest trends and technologies in Cloud Cost Management and provide recommendations for adapting to industry changes.: Stay up to date with cloud cost management best practices and emerging trends in FinOps. What Sets you apart : Working toward a bachelors degree in a computer science/Finance/ Information Systems field or related experience.: Affinity for Cloud technologies and an interest in Cloud Financial Management and FinOps.: Awareness and interest in AWS cloud computing.: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.: You are proactive, analytical, results:oriented, and able to work independently and in a team.
