Job Overview: Bloomingdale's has an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated Art Director of Photography to contribute to our in-house online Creative team. We are looking for a candidate with outstanding creative fashion and on figure art direction skills to work on multiple projects. Essential Functions: Supervision of on-figure e-commerce photography Operates with a solid grasp of the Bloomingdale's aesthetic. Elevates and evolves the site aesthetic while supporting the overall brand direction Lead and partner with a team of photographers, stylists, models, and hair & make-up artists to create high-quality visual imagery that aligns with the brand's creative direction and vision Develop eCommerce guidelines for both on-figure and product photography Develop and maintain the creative vision for our e-commerce platforms, ensuring that all visual content aligns with the brand's guidelines and is consistent with the overall brand aesthetic Stay up to date with emerging trends in design, photography, and e-commerce to ensure that our creative approach remains relevant and competitive; continually innovate and elevate the brand's expression for PDP photography and consider the customer experience. Edit, select, crop images in a timely manner Work closely with production team to cast models and talent for shoots Plan, concept and execute elevated fashion photography and video content Manage the process from concept ideation, to post production - including proposing photographers, stylists and casting, pulling relevant image and video references, and providing clear post-production direction Collaborate with key cross-functional partners- including marketing, social, and site teams to ensure that concepts meet business objectives Operate within budget standards Facilitate post-production of shoots Maintain positive work environment with high creative standards Qualifications and Competencies: 5+ years related experienceBFA / BA in Graphic Design, Photography, Fine Art or related field5+ years of in-studio creative experience in E-Commerce and Retail environments in FashionComplete fluency in Photoshop, InDesign, Excel, Capture One Experience in photoshoot creative direction for retail marketing environments and the ability to bring to life a holistic consumer journey Solid understanding of on-set operations both fashion and still life Strong knowledge of retail fashion, E-Commerce, digital and imagery pre- and post-production Compelling portfolio of distinctive work with elevated brand expressions Team-oriented with a positive attitude and collaborative approach to Creative development Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to adhere to deadlines Confidence and ability to manage upwards and interact with various levels of senior management Effective management of multiple, concurrent projects against aggressive timelines without compromising accuracy or quality Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically Physical Requirements: Requires prolonged periods of sitting, with occasional standing Occasionally requires walking, bending, reaching, hearing and talking Continuous use of computers and other office equipment Frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs.
