Description: The responsibilities of the Aircraft Painter include:* Read and interpret engineering paint drawings, and technical manuals, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes* Detail surfaces and prepare for painting by cleaning, stripping, abrading, or chemically treating* Mask part surfaces as necessary protecting sensitive components, final wiping prior to paint application, prime, and paint* Use proper painting techniques, mixing ratios, correct paint viscosity, and identification of improper and/or unacceptable finish application* Layout and apply required markings to meet customer requirements on parts.* Use various types of hand tools and/or hand-held power tools, sanders, paint guns, scales, mil thickness gauge, etc.* Must pass physical requirement screening to obtain a Respiratory certification Basic Qualifications: - Candidate must have experience in paint applications using various paint application equipment, with automotive/aircraft experience or training- Ability to read and interpret drawings to understand customer requirements Desired Skills: - SAP Experience- Ability to work most paint tasks with minimal supervision- Flexi-Sign Experience- Vinyl Plotter Experience Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
