The attorney will primarily focus on employment law matters, including defending wage and hour claims and class action lawsuits. The ideal candidate will have experience in litigation, including case management, motion practice, and deposition proceedings. Strong written and oral advocacy skills are essential for this role. Duties:Handle wage and hour class/PAGA actions and/or single plaintiff employment lawsuits from inception through conclusionConduct legal research and analysisDraft legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and briefsAttend court hearings and trialsAssist in client meetings and consultationsManage caseloads and ensure deadlines are metCollaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal matters Requirements:Admission to the California State Bar is mandatoryLaw degree from an American Bar Association (ABA)-accredited law school1+ years of experience in any litigation field, preferably with a focus on employment lawStrong written and oral advocacy skillsExcellent academic credentialsInterpersonal skills and a commitment to excellence Certifications:Admission to the California State Bar Skills:Keen interest in employment lawExperience in defending wage and hour claims, including class action lawsuitsLitigation experience, including case management and deposition proceedingsStrong legal research and writing skillsAbility to manage caseloads and meet deadlinesCollaboration and teamwork skills Benefits Offered:401(k)Health insurancePaid time off
