Job Description SNI has partnered with a reputable manufacturing company near Waterbury who is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing team. Responsibilities include: * Analyze current manufacturing state and develop action plans using Lean techniques to drive faster changeovers, reduce errors, standardize processes, decrease downtime, and increase OEE. * Manage Continuous Improvement Projects, lead initiatives, provide updates, set goals, establish priorities, and manage project resources. * Utilize Lean principles to design and implement new manufacturing processes, methodologies, and equipment layouts to enhance overall equipment effectiveness. * Evaluate plant performance relative to goals and adjust action plans accordingly. * Possess a strong understanding of Lean principles, Manufacturing, and Injection Molding floor operations. * Analyze process flow and value stream layouts, offering recommendations for improvement. * Identify and implement modifications to enhance efficiencies and overall plant performance. * Optimize manufacturing processes and equipment, including addressing product non-conformance and root cause analysis. * Support the development and improvement of Technical Operating Instructions. * Design and implement new manufacturing processes and equipment, including documentation and training. * Support new automation initiatives and provide lead support post-launch. Desired Skills and Experience: * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing. * 3 to 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience. * Six Sigma training and experience. * Ownership and accountability for areas of responsibility. * Effective communication skills across all organizational levels. * Ability to develop and manage project timelines and budgets. * Experience with plastic injection molding. * Proficiency in software tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Solidworks. * Experience with automation projects and PLC programming is a plus.
