MERIT BRASS is currently hiring for a CNC Operator I for 3rd Shift. We are a family owned and operated business for over 80 years! All new hires are eligible for a $200.00 signing bonus. Benefits: Vacation and Paid Sick Time Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Short Term Disability 401K Savings Plan Incentive Plan 3rd Shift Premium:15% Work Hours: 3rd Shift (Sunday-Thursday) 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM Responsibilities Perform in-process inspections of cut-blanks, stamped and threaded nipples according to specifications during the manufacturing stages Perform first piece inspections and approve manufacturing set-ups Perform final inspections of washed nipples according to documented processes Communicate timely and regularly on any required adjustments to manufacturing supervisors Inspect, measure and document special orders (as needed) prior to packaging Perform inspections of Merit purchased products according to the defined criteria and measurements using standard physical and mechanical gauges Accurately maintains documentation of traceability information and the results of inspections and testing Requirements High school graduate, GED, or equivalent preferred, but no required 3 years minimum experience with a background in manufacturing or inspection of precision machined parts to tight tolerances Ability to read micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc. Capable of identifying small very fine imperfections / surface flaws in material Basic computer knowledge and math skills (adding/subtracting whole numbers/fractions, decimals, etc.) Able to read and interpret blueprints and Geometric Dimensions & Tolerance information Standing / bending for entire shift; capable of lifting 50 lbs. continuously and 70 lbs. occasionally from floor-level; pushing and pulling order carts that could weigh up to 150 lbs. Moving, and lifting full lengths of pipe (12 to 24 feet in length) All Successful candidates will be subject to our Pre- Employment Screening Process which includes a Background Check, Education Verification, and Drug Screening.
