Supply Management Planner IIBCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Supply Management Planner II for an opportunity in Dubuque, IA 52001 Position Title: Supply Management Planner II Location: Dubuque, IA 52001 Anticipated Start Date: 05/17/2024 Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. Expected Duration: 2 years Job Type: Full Time 40 Hours Contract, Onsite Payrate: [$20- 21] Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). Worker Schedule: 6am-8am CST, working a full 8-hour shift, no planned OT at this time. Job Description: * Communicates with suppliers on a day-to-day basis regarding schedule releases. * Schedules requirements for purchased material such as economic order quantities optimal inventory level delivery and material replenishment. * Responsible for the implementation of optimal logistics processes and the material management systems within the unit and for the logistic performance of the suppliers. Provides support services to Supply Management Specialists.MAJOR DUTIES: * Description of the major duties performed in this job. * Schedules and expedites the delivery of purchased materials to support a production plan including recommendations for premium logistic alternatives when appropriate. * Processes supplier's non-conformances and expedites corrective actions. * Works with the Supply Management Specialist to maintain an ongoing relationship with assigned suppliers to monitor and improve supplier performance; measures the performance of the supplier and defines corrective actions; may negotiate with suppliers to resolve short-term performance problems. * Executes inventory plans using systems parameters and material replenishment strategies to achieve inventory/asset management and material flow goals. * Drives continuous improvement in terms of performance with the supply base using Achieving Excellence process and criteria. Executes the logistics requirements for the supplier concerning containers packaging methods and parameters; arranges agreements with the suppliers on appropriate logistics processes. * Works with Supply Management Specialist managing low-to-medium complex commodities and supply base. * Resolves shipping and receiving problems to ensure prompt and accurate payments to suppliers. * Specific Requirements: * Candidates must be local - 5-day work week(4 days in office) * Experience with SAP and Excel * Ability to communicate well with people from different job functions via email and phone * Detail oriented. * Ability to multi-task.
