Job Summary Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute (HPHCI) is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Division of Chronic Disease Research Across the Lifespan (CoRAL) group within the Department of Population Medicine (DPM; www.populationmedicine.org) as a Project Coordinator. The DPM is jointly sponsored by Harvard Medical School and the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute. The Project Coordinator will work on a varied research portfolio ranging from multiple studies conducted within the department while assisting and supporting the creation of a new Center of Excellence in Maternal Health. The Project Coordinator will perform a variety of activities to support development and research activities and operations within DPM. This position requires excellent communication skills for close collaboration with investigators and project managers, both within HPHCI and with external institutions and collaborators. Key Responsibilities/Duties - what you will be doing Key Responsibilities/Duties - What You Will Be Doing Perform day-to-day tasks in support of the new center of excellence, as well as related research studies and grants, coordinate IRB activities and submissions, and develop operational protocols. Support collaborations with external investigators and cross-divisional internal investigators and engage with policy makers locally and nationally. Facilitate collaborative meetings and conferences, including arranging a venue, facilitating on-site IT support, developing agendas, communicating with attendees and speakers, and other support as needed Source, monitor and track development and funding opportunities in support of the new center, including creating and maintaining project databases (Access, Excel, REDCap and other systems as necessary). Assist with project timeline coordination and support meeting preparation; set up teleconferences and webinars, send invitations, track responses, solicit and distribute agenda items, create slide decks, provide technical support, prepare meeting minutes, and follow up on action items. Create and revise documentation, as appropriate. Prepare summary reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Other related duties and projects as assigned. Perform out-of-the-box thinking, collaborate with others, and make a difference every day! Qualifications - what you need to perform the job Education, Certification and Licensure Bachelor's degree required. Experience (minimum years required) : 1- 3 years experience in a relevant environment (e.g. operations, health care, research, academia, etc.) is preferred. Proficiency in various software packages, including Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, Access, Power Point, and other desktop tools. General understanding of a research environment and exposure to/experience with project coordination, IRB submissions, proposal/grant preparation is preferred. Skill Requirements Excellent interpersonal and communicational skills. Able to handle confidential and sensitive information discreetly. Able to prioritize work, operate under tight deadlines, and meet deadlines. Excellent organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to operate independently, with good judgment, and with flexibility. Working Conditions and Additional Requirements: Must be able to work under normal office conditions and work from home as required (this position will be hybrid with some regular days required in-office and others remote work).
