If so, we invite you to embark on an exciting journey with us as a System Operations Technical Instructor.As a System Operations Technical Instructor, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating initial and ongoing technical training. You'll be at the forefront of imparting knowledge that supports our mission to uphold Midcontinent ISO (MISO), North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), and Regional Reliability Standards. Essential Responsibilities: What You'll Do:Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions in classroom and simulation settings for Initial and Continuing EducationChampion strong safety and human performance behaviorsProvide one-on-one mentorship, guiding learners through real-world challenges and projectsDevelop comprehensive training materials, including presentations, hands-on exercises, simulations, and assessmentsStay up-to-date with the latest industry knowledge, trends, and technologies to deliver cutting-edge training to SCOsObtain and maintain NERC CertificationWork independently and as part of a collaborative teamMinimum Education and Experience:Minimum two-year technical degree in engineering, mathematics, or computer science; equivalent experience will be consideredMinimum of 5 years related experience in operating a power system in a control center environment or an equivalent combination of control center experience and relevant field experiencePrevious teaching, training, or mentoring experience is a plusDemonstrated ability to plan and carry out responsibilities with minimal direction and effective analytical, deductive reasoning, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio, and database software a plusIf you're ready to take your technical expertise to the next level and make a lasting impact on the future of our transmission system operations, we encourage you to apply!
