Additional Information About the Role BJC has an exciting opportunity for a Data Architecture and Engineering Manager. The role will manage a team of developers and monitor the data health of the supply chain space. This role is M-F, regular work hours. Does require monthly onsites. Must be located in the greater St. Louis area. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Lead the data team in developing and implementing an effective data strategy. Responsible for overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of the organization's data architecture, as well as ensuring the data quality, security, and governance across the organization. Responsible for leading a team of data architects and engineers, as well as collaborating with other departments to ensure data-driven solutions meet the needs of the business. Responsibilities Design, implement and maintain a supply chain data architecture that supports our business goals and objectives by managing a team of data architects and engineers, providing guidance and direction on projects and initiatives. Oversee the development and maintenance of data models, data dictionaries, and data flows by establishing highly reliable systems and processes and tools. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop data-driven solutions that meet their needs. Establish and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and industry experts to stay up-to-date on best practices and emerging trends in data architecture and engineering. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance our data architecture and engineering capabilities through continuous learning and networking with other best practice organizations and departments. Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership. Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
