We're looking for an organized paralegal to play an important role on our legal team as an estate/trust/conservatorship administration and probate litigation paralegal. Individuals should be a detail-oriented team player with effective communication skills. Experience in probate, estate planning, accounting, or litigation is a plus but not required. If you're interested in advancing your paralegal career with opportunities for growth, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities:• Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence• Aid lawyers by preparing, organizing and coordinating cases. Conducting research and assisting with client meetings and filing motions• 1040 and 1041 tax preparation, Word, e-filing, Simplifile, TABS3 and PracticeMaster experience a plus• Gather information about finances, personal property, real estate and other client assets Qualifications: • Strong oral and written communication skills• Candidates must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree preferred• Must have great time-management skills, and organizational skills Compensation: $60,000+ commensurate with experience About Company: Schwartz McMinimee & Andrew, LLC is a private law firm that focuses on probate, including administration of decedent estates, probate litigation, conservatorships, trusts, serving as fiduciaries, and Medicaid issues.
