Nurse Practitioner - San Jose, CA 95116 Pain Management Nurse Practitioner Compensation: $190,000 per year Overview: Nexus HR is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a reputable pain management specialty clinic in San Mateo, CA. The ideal candidate must have a current California Nurse Practitioner License and an established experience in pain management. About the Job Promotes and maintains patient health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician. Duties and Responsibilities Promotes and maintains patient health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician.Work under the direction of a fellowship-trained pain physician.Consider and work toward a long-term plan for each patient while attending to immediate, visit-specific needs.Interview and examine patients; review outside studies and medical histories.Treating a wide variety of patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and pain disorders,Performing trigger point, joint, nerve, and soft tissue injections.Reading X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and other imaging.Document patient care services on the day of service.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. Qualifications: At least 3 years of experience in pain management or any relevant specialtiesExperience with workers’ comp patients is highly preferredPreference towards procedures is a plusMust have a current California license, graduate from an approved Nurse Practitioner Program, and be certified by the appropriate credentialing body. Minimum one year of experience as an NP/FNPOne year of experience in Pain Management is preferredActive DEA license without restrictions.Must have a current California license.Able to work in San Mateo, CA Benefits: Medical401kPaid LeaveOther
