Description:
Position: Shelf HVAC Technician Rotational Schedule: 7/7 Crew Change Location: Mobile, AL Danos Expectations: A successful candidate will exhibit characteristics that support the following: * Safety Awareness * Work Ethic * Technical Skill * Customer Focus * Open Communication * Implementing Vision and Values Responsibilities: * Installs, calibrates, services, modifies, and repairs heating, ventilating, air conditioning systems, and related environmental-control systems utilizing knowledge of heating and refrigeration theory, pipefitting, and structural layout; this also includes system malfunction diagnosis. * Mounts compressor and condenser units on platform or floor, using hand tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications. * Fabricates, assembles, and installs ductwork and chassis parts, using portable metalworking tools and welding equipment. * Prepares material lists for materials needed to support any HVAC activities. * Maintains documentation (records), as required, on all work performed by loading these records into work management software program. * Additional maintenance duties when requested by Supervisor. Qualifications / Education: Required: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1-3 years of experience required Preferred: Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience (in refrigeration, HVAC and/or electrical) and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; 3+ years' experience preferred Technical Skills / Certifications: * Current 30 CRF 250, Subpart O Safety System required certificate (offshore only) * API RP 2D Crane Certificate (a.k.a. Crane Rigger Training) (offshore only) * Proof of Marine Trash Debris training (offshore only) * Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC, as required by client company) * Additional training as required by client company and/or location.
