The ideal candidate will fulfill the following roles and meet the qualifications: Job Overview:Oversee and work closely with support staff in drafting and reviewing all documentation necessary to complete a judicial mortgage foreclosure in the State of Vermont.Represent the interests of mortgage lenders and/or servicers in all stages of the foreclosure process.Review all statutorily required notices, correspondence, pleadings, and other documents.Attend and argue motions and other hearings before the courts.Work closely with and provide legal counsel to foreclosure clients throughout the process. Duties:Draft and review all documentation necessary for judicial mortgage foreclosure in Vermont.Handle related matters, including debt disputes and defense to counterclaims.Oversee all stages of the foreclosure process, from demand to recording of foreclosure deeds.Represent mortgage lenders and/or servicers in foreclosure proceedings.Review all required notices, correspondence, pleadings, and other documents.Prepare and respond to written inquiries or disputes efficiently.Attend and argue motions and hearings before the courts.Attend mediation sessions related to foreclosure proceedings.Provide legal counsel to foreclosure clients throughout the process. Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.Admission to the bar in the State of Vermont required; admission in other New England states a plus.Excellent communication skills.Outstanding interpersonal skills.Must be admitted in Vermont or willing to waive into Vermont. Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications:Admission to the State Bar of Vermont; admission in other New England states is advantageous. Skills:Strong legal drafting and analytical skills.Ability to manage and oversee the foreclosure process efficiently.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.Proficiency in legal research and writing.
