Summary We are looking for a qualified and loving English Teacher to work at our Springfield location with our Kindergarten and Pre-K students. Both classrooms share a Spanish teacher and two assistant teachers, together you will make a dynamic team! Type of job: is negotiable during the interview. Part-Time Full-Time Internship (paid) Duties Responsibilities : Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media, etc.) to teach children. Employ a variety of instructional techniques and teaching strategies to meet different aptitudes and interests of students, including whole group (co-teaching) / small-group or individual learning. Observe each child help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem. Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional conflicts Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, or colors, do crafts, etc.). Track children's progress and report to parents. Collaborate with other educators. Contribute productively to the school as a whole. Participate in in-service and staff development activities and staff meetings as required or assigned. Attend and participate in established traditional school-sponsored activities (i.e, back-to-school night, open house, and other activities customarily attended by classroom teachers and/or faculty members), which may be outside of regular school hours. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Skills : Proven English proficiency. Proven skills and knowledge about Teaching English (English grammar, spelling, semantics, vocabulary, etc.). Understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods. Good communication and instructional skills. Education: BA in Early Childhood Education or similar degree in teaching CDA and further graduate work Ability to have transcripts transferred Nice To Haves CPR/ First Aid required within 30 daysMAT certificateDaily Health Observation certificate Benefits 3 weeks paid vacation6 days PTOHealth Insurance
