However, we will continue to consider candidates until the position is filled.Status: Full-time regular, Exempt Essential Functions: Provides supervision to worship arts team Responsible for overseeing Sunday morning services and special events Is able to envision and utilize creative elements in planning services along with and in addition to music (i.e. scripture readings, spoken word, media elements, interviews/testimonies, tactile, etc.) Works with worship arts team to plan major seasonal and/or outreach events, i.e. Christmas Eve, Easter, nights of worship Supervises and collaborates with the worship arts team for lighting, media, stage/set design, video production, technical support, etc. (utilizing Ableton, Waves, ProPresenter, Resi, Logic, Hog, Novastar and Planning Center Online, just to name a few) Assists pastors in providing direction to worship planning for weekly services and special events Recruits and auditions vocalist and musicians Provides spiritual leadership to the worship/creative arts team Acquires, approves, and organizes all forms of media (video, graphics, audio etc.) for services and special events Coordinates staff involvement in weekend services and special events Responsible for overseeing that chord charts, rehearsal files, click tracks, etc. for worship teams are correct and consistent in PCO Write chord charts and/or arrange music when necessary Purchases music and ensures that all applicable CCLI regulations and copyright permissions are followed Schedules worship teams for services using PCO Services Is available for special services such as funerals, ministry events, district and community partner events Collaborates with worship leaders/pastors from other Victory campuses to ensure consistency and performance standards Serves on rotation to provide pastoral type duties for visitation, on-call, and spiritual counseling as appropriate Other functions and duties based on the candidates qualifications and gifts, or as assigned by Lead Pastor QUALIFICATIONS Vibrant and growing life of Christian discipleship Two years of successful leadership experience in a similar position leading worship (or co-leadership in a larger church setting) A degree in a related field Ordination in The Wesleyan Church preferred, but not required Aligns with the mission, values, and core beliefs of Victory Highway Wesleyan Church and The Wesleyan Church STAFF STRUCTURE Reports to: Lead Pastor Direct Reports: Video & Graphics Coordinator, worship leaders, ministry assistant, and interns as assigned Member of: Worship arts team, lead team, pastoral team
