Responsibilities As an Assistant Retail Experience Manager, you will work to support the Retail Experience Manager in the day-to-day and long-term success of retail staff. This position will help build the best customer experience by focusing on what matters most, the team. You will assist with recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, coaching, performance management, training, and education of our Retail Sales Associates, or Outfitters, as we call them. Additional responsibilities: Supports the Retail Experience Manager Assists with onboarding new employees Able to assist with check-ins and performance management - either independently or cooperatively Great educator: Coaches in the moment and helps provide ongoing education to Outfitters Assists with scheduling Responsible for fostering customer happiness Knowledgeable in day-to-day functions that help the day run smoothly Acts as "Manager on Duty" when RXM is not present Qualifications Available to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays Demonstrated leadership ability with at least 1 year of retail experience in a customer-facing sales setting Passion for managing, training, and motivating employees Can own and manage administrative tasks, customer interactions and a fast paced environment while staying organized Fosters growth of others through recognition, coaching and development opportunities Promotes individual and team performance by setting expectations, delegating and by providing tools and resources Builds and maintains trust from staff and customers by using sound judgement Passionate, positive, self-motivated and detail-oriented Collaborative and customer-centric Willing to go above and beyond when needed Communicates professionally with customers and team Delivers the best customer experience by creating a positive staff culture with a focus on performance management and education Supports all Fleet Feet initiatives, activities and functions Perks: High energy and fun atmosphere Training and advancement opportunities within the Fleet Feet brand Community involvement and community service activities Up to $500 in annual race reimbursements 401(k) options with company match (Age 21+ after 1 year of employment) Insurance benefits including medical, dental, vision & HSA Paid Time Off (15 days/120 hours annual) 5 Paid Holidays Generous employee discount Quarterly footwear allotment Free Fleet Feet Training Programs Passionate team members We are an equal opportunity employer and believe having diverse teams in which everyone brings their whole self to Fleet Feet is key to our success. Position requires moving around for periods of 2-4 hours without a rest break task sequencing, and using point-of-sale computers. Occasional moderate to heavy (10-25+lb) lifting and carrying, bending and reaching overhead may be required. Work environment includes substantial communication with customers, working in a retail environment with product displays and stockroom with inventory, and potentially slippery surfaces.
