Job Description and Duties This position supports the California Department of Public Health's (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by providing clinical consultation in support of the Genetic Disease Screening Program (GDSP). The incumbent works under the administrative direction of the Public Health Medical Administrator II, C.E.A. The Public Health Medical Officer (PHMO) III provides guidance to staff on emerging genetic, obstetric, and pediatric issues, and plans and organizes medical consultation for the identification, development, and implementation of best practices and standardized guidelines to support GDSP clinical and research programs.Before appointment to this position, you must first obtain list eligibility by taking and passing the Public Health Medical Officer III exam: https://calcareers.ca.gov/JOBSGEN/8H1AE02.PDFThe attached duty statement indicates whether this position is eligible for telework.
