Position Summary: Under the direction of the Vice President of Engineering, the Program Manager is integrally involved in the activities of proprietary heating equipment engineering to enhance the design and manufacture of products, components, and systems. He or she also conducts market research and troubleshoots any problems that may occur in the manufacturing process of products and components. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Oversee current production processes to maintain high-quality standards Lead short-term development projects to meet immediate business needs while laying the groundwork for long-term success. Coordinate advanced engineering efforts, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to drive innovation and competitive advantage. Define comprehensive project requirements, including resource allocation, budgetary considerations, and timeline constraints. Secure and document commitments of work from both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear expectations and accountability. Track project deliverables meticulously, monitoring timing and identifying bottlenecks or critical paths that may impact overall progress. Proactively push resources to execute tasks on time, predict and eliminate impending slippage to maintain project momentum. Translate complex technical requirements into actionable tasks for internal and external teams, fostering collaboration and clarity. Maintain a comprehensive tracking system for action items, ensuring timely resolution and closure. Monitor and close quality documentation using methodologies such as 8D's, ensuring adherence to stringent quality standards. Provide regular status updates to project teams and company executives, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in engineering or technical field, preferred; MBA a plus. Experience: Product development Managing multiple projects Cost control and budgeting Management and leadership Risk management Conflict resolution and problem-solving Supplier development Language Ability: Read, analyze and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, agencies or members of the business community. Write speeches and articles for publication. Math Ability: Apply advanced concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and permutations. Apply operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, test reliability/validity, variance analysis, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis. Reasoning Ability: Apply logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Deal with nonverbal symbolism (e.g., formulas and equations) in difficult phases. Deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have competency with project management software; word processing software and spreadsheet software; ability to use the internet and database software; with the ability to learn new work-related software as required.
