Description:
Position Purpose:Provides leadership in shipping/receiving, warehouse, and material handling to meet the requirements of our customers, internal and external. Maintains a continuous flow of product, resolves issues quickly and according to policy. Leads the group in maintaining a safe work environment, maintaining, and improving quality, lean manufacturing, 5S and continuous improvement efforts. Essential Functions:* Manage shipping/receiving, material handling, material flow and freight traffic.* Develop measures and processes to ensure customer metrics are proactively monitored.* Oversee training of operations personnel* Maintain/update SR/MH work instructions and assure that they are understood.* Address equipment issues with maintenance.* Understands what production requirements are and communicates them to associates, moving people as required to maintain balance.* Evaluate current and new associates.* Leads and facilitates daily shift start up meetings.* Coordinate and control all documentation on the product coming in and out of the facility.* Continually reviews area for safety concerns. Intervenes when associates are performing a task unsafely.* Assure that all required bar code transactions are performed as required.Hendrickson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
