Who You Are: The Immigration Attorney II position is a critical part of the CCILS team. This role will provide direct legal services to individuals and will supervise CCILS support staff. What You Will Work On: The Immigration Attorney II position will provide direct immigration legal services to low-income individuals, which may include: Providing legal consultations and representation. Representing clients before the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in cases, including but not limited to; family-based petitions, waivers, consular processing, U Visas, VAWA self-petitions, T Visas, Adjustments of Status, Asylum, DACA, and Temporary Protected Status. Representing clients in removal proceedings in Immigration Court. Coordinate legal volunteers, interns, and externs and provide supervision. What You Bring: Education, Certifications, and Licensure Requirements/Preferences JD degree from an accredited law school and admission to bar in any state. Experience Requirements/Preferences 3 years of experience practicing immigration law, preferred. Outstanding leadership skills with 1-2 years supervisory experience showing progression (Preferred). At least one years' experience managing social service-related programs, including experience with staff supervision, program development, and budget management. Ability to use Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Ability to communicate concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing in Spanish and English.
