Description Specialization: Cardiology Non Invasive Job Summary: Austin Heart would like to recruit an advanced practice provider to join the largest cardiology group in Central Texas at our San Marcos location. Qualified Candidates: Board certified ACNP, FNP or PA Licensed in the state of Texas or ability to obtain Working with one interventional cardiologist and one APP at the San Marcos office and local hospital No call but weekend/night work when provider is on call Both inpatient rounding and outpatient work Start date: ASAP Possible outreach clinic days in Wimberley, TX, Kyle, TX and Lockhart, TX Incentive/Benefits Package: Hospital employed opportunity Competitive salary About Austin Heart and CTMC: Austin Heart is the largest cardiology group in Central Texas with over 48 physicians, 50 APP's and 245 employees We have been serving the community for over 25 years in our 12 full time offices covering a service area of the size of the state of Maryland Austin Heart offers comprehensive clinical services including a robust research program The cardiologist will see patients primarily at Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC). This 113 bed hospital has a broad spectrum of services. CTMC has a coronary interventional program. Heart surgery cases are transferred to the Heart Hospital of Austin. San Marcos is the largest city in Hays County, just 30 minutes south of Austin, TX. It offers dramatic scenery, clear water, a mild climate, and abundant recreational opportunities combine to make San Marcos a wonderful place to live and work. With San Antonio to the south, Austin to the north, and the beautiful Texas Hill Country to the west, there is never a shortage of recreation, entertainment, and special events. Sports lovers can participate in year-round outdoor activities or choose from the area’s college and professional sports teams. Those who prefer indoor activities will enjoy the many live music and performing arts venues in San Marcos and the surrounding area. San Marcos is home to the state’s third most popular tourist attraction – the Tanger Outlet Center and Prime Outlets, which draw more than 8 million visitors a year.
