We are seeking an individual to be part of a global fine metal refining and recycling operation. This person will be an integral part of our company culture. We are quickly changing and growing globally and need a dynamic, flexible, and knowledgeable individual who wants to be part of our culture while focusing on the work it takes to keep everything on track. Job Purpose: To ensure a safe environment through a team effort of diligent active patrol, strict access control, monitoring surveillance equipment, building inspections, guarding entry points, reporting incidents, and verifying visitors. SHIFTS: 2nd Shift 1:30 pm -10:00 pm starting at $18 per hour (Retired Police Officers / Correction Officers / Military encouraged to apply) Responsibilities: The ability to operate or learn to operate, various security systems and equipment. Alarm systems, i.e., burglar and fire. Communications devices, i.e., telephone and two-way handheld radio. Monitor and operate the video surveillance system. Digital and Network video recording systems. Walkthrough metal detector (magnetometer). Hand-held scanning device (wand). X-ray machine (for bags and packages). Must have Word and Excel Knowledge. Writing incident reports. Supporting visitor access control. Escorting visitors as needed. Access control positions to support the business. Requirements: Prior Military or Law Enforcement experience a plus High School Diploma or GED Able to function as part of a team, effectively interacting with co-workers and visitors Must be able to pass a background and credit check successfully. Physical Requirements: Standing and/or walking for extended periods and bending at the waist repeatedly over the course of a shift, searching persons, boxes, and bags. Occasionally lifting bags and boxes up to 50 lbs. Ability to pass a drug screening and physical exam. We are an equal opportunity employer.
