Part-Time Bookkeeper

One day a week Are you an organized and solution-driven bookkeeper with 5 years of full-charge accounting experience and a great work ethic? If so, we’d like to talk with you. Our busy company is looking to hire an experienced part-time bookkeeper to assist us in managing all financial transactions, including accounts receivable and payables, general ledger entries, and payroll. Must be familiar with Excel and Quickbooks. Our ideal candidate will have relevant knowledge of accounting best practices and will be proficient with accounting software. The position is Monday 9-5 pm. If this sounds like a job you can really excel at, please apply today! Responsibilities: • Maintain and update accurate financial records, tax reports, contracts, annual budgets, and financial statements• Be responsible for the accuracy of the general ledger, and journal entries, and prepare balance sheets and financial reports for review• Resolve any invoice issues, and process invoices, checks, and payroll accurately and on-time• Use extensive data entry to ensure all financial data is input into accounting software• Collaborate with the general contractor or project manager and provide detailed financial reporting to ensure costs, timeline, and budget of construction projects are accurately forecasted Qualifications: • Must have excellent organization, analytical, problem-solving, and communications skills• Knowledge of construction accounting concepts, tax strategies, and best practices• Well-versed with Microsoft Office, Excel, and accounting software, such as QuickBooks• Five years of previous experience in accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience in the construction industry• Associate’s degree in accounting, or business, or related field is preferred - high school diploma is required Compensation: $25 hourly About Company: Maureen Folan Real Estate Group is a group of professionals that are dedicated to selling properties in Queens & Long Island.
