We are the next generation of workplace health centers.JOB SUMMARYThe mission of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is to support the Health Center’s clinical and clerical operations. As directed by the provider and Clinical Operations Manager, the LPN assists the provider and performs appropriate tests and procedures. The LPN is responsible for administrative tasks for the Health Center and may assist the Patient Advocate in employee engagement and outreach. Part-time Hours: Wednesday 7:00a-5:00p & Friday 7:00a-4:00p ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain a professional image and exhibit excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, providers, and co-workers in accordance with our service delivery standards and core valuesPrepare patients to be seen by the provider through triage, assessment, treatment procedures, and follow-up informationPerform tests such as selected laboratory tests, EKG’s, Spirometry, inhalation treatments, annual physicals, visual screening, audiometry testing, and CLIA-waived testingPrepare medications and administer injections as ordered by the providerAssist providers with procedures and treatments as neededConsult with patients by telephone addressing concerns or instructions from the providerSanitize and clean examining rooms between patientsCheck expiration dates on drugs, vaccines, and other products; dispose of expired medications and products per company guidelinesDemonstrate a willingness to work with other providers as deemed necessaryManage the overall Health Center inventory and supply managementPartner with the Patient Advocate to assist with patient engagement/outreachParticipate in meetings and in services as requested by the Clinical Operations ManagerREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIESRequired:Current LPN license in good standingCurrent BLS certificationStrong organization and communication skillsKnowledge of Internet software, spreadsheet software, word processing software, and electronic medical records.Ability to communicate effectively and maintain working relationships with people from diverse backgroundsAbility to prioritize needs and plan work accordinglyKnowledge of HIPPA confidentiality requirementsPreferred:1+ year(s) of experience as an LPN.WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThis job primarily operates in a medical office environment and is required to interact with patients for the majority of the workday. The physical demands to perform the essential functions of this job are:Effective communication, mobility, ability to operate office equipment and travel intermittently throughout the day.Must be able to remain in a stationary position at their work area for prolonged periods of time.Employee will occasionally be required to lift office products and supplies up to 50 pounds.POSITION TYPE & EXPECTED HOURS OF WORKThis role is considered a full-time, non-exempt position.
