1 RETAIL STORE MANAGER Employer: M & M Meat Shop Business Address: 2618 Mc Millan Road Abbotsford, BC V3G 1C4 Title of position: Retail Store Manager No. of positions: 1 Wages: $30.00/hr for 40 hours per week Job Type: Full-Time, year-round work Work Location: Abbotsford, BC Start Date of Employment: As soon as possible Job Description for the position of Retail Store Manager at M & M Meat Shop is as: • Overseeing the major business and operational functions of the store including budgetary control, inventory control and staff supervision. • Maintaining a successful team of store staff by training and scheduling employees, as well as coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees. • Establishing a rapport with potential and current customers, and positively promoting the M&M Food Market brand within the store community. • Achieving the store’s financial objectives by assisting to identify store targets, labour costs, analyzing store expenses/variances, and initiating any corrective actions. • Controlling all activities related to inventory control (i. e. merchandising of product, maintaining appropriate inventory levels, rotating stock, accepting product and balancing inventory). • Training staff on all corporate policies and enforcing them to maintain brand compliance, as well as legislative and legal business requirements. • Organizing general maintenance and cleaning activities of the store. • Perform other duties as required. Skills and Experience requirement: • Completion of Secondary Education is required. Having higher education would be an asset. • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience is required. • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Office. • Good command of the English language; both oral and written.
