Braille Proof Reader - Gateshead Job description Braille Proof Reader Gateshead17.5 hours per week (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)£9,947 per year (£19,895 full time equivalent) We are the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) and we are here for everyone affected by sight loss. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Braille Proof Reader to work in Specialist Production at our Gateshead site. Specialist Production produce and dispatch a wide range of alternative format products to both internal and external customers. Products include single use braille library books, braille magazines, Talking books and a variety of commercial documents. What you'll be doing: Accurately proofing a wide variety of embossed documents including Library books, Magazines, Brochures, Confidential Financial Statements/documents etc. for transcription and/or embosser errors before despatch. Providing comprehensive feedback of errors in any documents proofed. Prioritising work to ensure customer Service Level Agreement is met. You'll be an experienced braille reader with fantastic attention to detail that's confident providing comprehensive feedback.
