The technologist must demonstrate and exercise critical thinking skills, knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy/physiology, radiation safety, venipuncture, and safe medication administration, specific to contrast media and adjunct medications. The technologist is responsible for the safe operation of sophisticated imaging and ancillary equipment to produce quality CT procedures. The CT Technologist ensures accurate documentation and image transmission and storage, professional and effective communication, and demonstrates knowledge of age-appropriate criteria when working with all patients, which include high risk and critically ill patients. Responsible for accurate charge capture and documentation. **Per Diem Position: Seven shifts available per month, with two weekend shifts.****Flexible Shift Requirements: Ability to work varying shifts including day, evening, and night.****Diverse Population: Serving neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.****Required Certification: Certified in Computed Tomography (CT).**Job Description:EDUCATIONEquivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma. Successful graduation from a Joint Commission approved School of Radiologic Technology Associate's: Radiologic SciencesCERTIFICATION & LICENSURE ARRT - Radiography - American Register of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire IV Certification Upon Hire BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Upon Hire RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy within 180 Days of hirePREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN: Previous experience in an acute care facility is preferred.SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEMust be knowledgeable in cross sectional anatomy and technical factors.Demonstrates proficiency with multiple computerized systems.Demonstrates proficiency when working with PACS to transmit, archive, and retrieve digital images.Demonstrates knowledge of and complies with all Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements.Job Shift:Day/Evening/NightSchedule:Per Diem/CasualShift Hours:8Days of the Week:VariableWeekend Requirements:Every other WeekendBenefits:NoUnions:YesPosition Status:Non-ExemptWeekly Hours:0Employee Status:Per Diem/CasualNumber of Openings:1Sutter Health is an equal opportunity employer EOE/M/F/Disability/Veterans.Pay Range is $58.64 to $73.64 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.
