The ideal candidate will possess strong research, writing, and communication skills and a proven track record of drafting and prosecuting patent applications.Duties:Drafting and prosecuting patent applications in synthetic organic chemistry, biochemistry, and pharmaceutical sciences.Conducting patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.Providing strategic intellectual property counseling to clients.Handling intellectual property litigation matters as needed.Collaborating with inventors, scientists, and business leaders to identify patentable inventions.Managing a portfolio of patents and trademarks.Requirements:Minimum 5 years of experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications.Ph.D. or master’s degree in organic chemistry or related field.Strong academic background.Admission to practice law in Massachusetts.Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Education:Ph.D. or master’s degree in organic chemistry or related field.Certifications:Admission to practice law in Massachusetts.Admission to practice before the USPTO.Skills:Proficiency in drafting and prosecuting patent applications.Excellent research skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Knowledge of intellectual property laws and regulations.
