The ideal candidate will have borrower-side representation experience, with a preference for those with experience working with private equity sponsors.Duties:Provide legal counsel and transactional support for private equity finance matters.Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements, credit agreements, and related documents.Conduct due diligence reviews and risk assessments for financing transactions.Advise clients on legal issues related to private equity investments and financing structures.Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to facilitate smooth transaction processes.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar Association.Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in private credit, acquisition, or leveraged finance.Experience with borrower-side representation, preferably with private equity sponsors.Strong understanding of finance and corporate law principles.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active membership in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar Association.Skills:Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills.Ability to analyze complex financial transactions and legal documents.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.Team player with a proactive and client-focused approach. The Massachusetts law office was set up one year ago. There are eight areas of practice offered at this location. Disciplines include capital markets, emerging companies, mergers-acquisitions, private equity, public offerings, technology transactions, transactional tax and venture capital.
