Continuous Improvement Specialist - Orangeburg, SC (Relocation Offered)We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist who employs a range of abilities, including project design, leadership, and management, to ensure performance enhancement and process evolution. This role involves utilizing Lean Six Sigma principles to spearhead continuous improvement initiatives and achieve operational excellence. The individual in this role is tasked with planning, scheduling, and executing continuous improvement activities within a manufacturing facility's production floor.Compensation: $120,000 - $130,000 + Discretionary Bonus + 401k (50%) Match, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, STD, LTD, PTO.*Relocation is offered for candidates moving.100% Medical Benefits Covered401k Match 50%Key ResponsibilitiesPinpointing opportunities for process enhancement, waste elimination, and cost reductionOrganizing, facilitating, and carrying out continuous improvement events using Lean Six Sigma toolsInstructing, guiding, and coaching cross-functional teams on Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologyStriving for continuous process improvement on the production floor and transactional areas by collaborating with various functions such as logisticsAdditional ResponsibilitiesClearly outlining program objectives and scopeAssessing and prioritizing potential improvements based on benefits and required effortSecuring employee commitment (e.g., process managers) for proactive change managementFormulating a clear and comprehensive implementation planSetting criteria for the project's success and preparing a robust statement of constraints/limiting factorsImplementing governance principles appropriatelyResolving technical issues such as formulation, equipment, product, interpretation of regulations, and resource availabilityIdentifying intervention priorities and indicatorsConducting a thorough analysis of the current situation that accurately outlines the issuesDefining deliverables, outcome indicators, and performance-measured indicatorsIdentifying available resources (e.g., people, material, and finances)Detailing the desired situationClearly outlining methodologyAnalyzing options accurately, including impact and feasibilityIdentifying obstacles and strategies to overcome them through continuous improvementRegularly monitoring the implementation of solutions to achieve objectives and expected benefitsSkills Required and Desired Pursue positive change and collaborate with employees in implementing recommended changes. A successful continuous improvement manager possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills and can communicate with all levels of employees, from upper management to production floor workers. They explain the reasons for changing processes and how to implement those changes. Using Lean Six Sigma methodologies, the continuous improvement manager spearheads the improvement efforts and educates others on their implementation.Being organized and skilled at balancing and managing priorities is crucial for a successful continuous improvement professional, as there can be competition for what is handled and when.
