The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting and prosecuting patent applications, conducting prior art searches, and collaborating with inventors to assess patentability.Duties:Draft and prosecute patent applications related to AI/ML technologies.Collaborate with inventors to understand new AI technologies and assess their patentability.Conducted and analyzed results of prior art searches and freedom-to-operate analyses.Maintain knowledge of the latest AI technology and patent laws.Liaise with clients to develop and manage patent portfolios.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or graduate degree (MS/PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Physics, or a related technical field involving AI/ML.Experience with AI models, neural networks, and deep learning is required.Experience with AI/ML theory, including backpropagation, regularization, optimization, preprocessing data, selecting features, training/tuning models, and deploying models to production environments.Domain experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, natural language processing, wireless communications, computer vision, or related AI fields preferred.Registered to practice with the USPTO.Active member and in good standing of CA Bar or eligible to waive into the appropriate Bar.Skills:Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Proficiency in legal research and writing.
