The role involves drafting and prosecuting patent applications, conducting prior art searches, and collaborating with inventors to assess patentability. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s or graduate degree in a relevant technical field, experience with AI/ML theory and applications, and proficiency in liaising with clients to manage patent portfolios.Job Details:Drafting and prosecuting patent applications related to AI technologies.Collaborate with inventors to understand new AI technologies and assess their patentability.Conducting and analyzing the results of prior art searches and freedom-to-operate analyses.Maintaining knowledge of the latest AI technology and patent laws.Assisting internal and external stakeholders with AI-related patent matters.Liaising with clients to develop and manage patent portfolios.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or graduate degree (MS/PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Physics, or a related technical field involving AI/ML.Experience with AI models, neural networks, and deep learning.Experience with AI/ML theory: backpropagation, regularization, optimization, preprocessing data, selecting features, training/tuning models; deploying models to production environments.Domain experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, natural language processing, wireless communications, computer vision, or related AI fields preferred.Registered to practice with the USPTO.Active member and in good standing of IL Bar or eligible to waive into the appropriate Bar.Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Proficiency in legal research and writing.
