Roles and Responsibilities: Participates in the design of construction, rehabilitation, and/or alteration of structures, facilities, equipment, and/or other rail infrastructure systems. Conducts field surveys to collect data and facilitate the timely completion of engineering projects. Estimates material quantities and other resources needs to produce project and departmental schedules and accurate cost estimates, including project resources. Reviews and checks drawings prepared by in-house drafting personnel. Able to produce MicroStation drawings for various rehabilitation projects based on department needs. Good communication skills required in order to transfer field-gathered information and transfer this to repair drawings that are complete and understandable to engineering and construction personnel. Education, Experience, and Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering discipline or equivalent.
