A growing team of board-certified Veterinary Pathologists, as well as over 75 laboratory technicians, are employed in support of our unified international commitment to quality, scientific integrity and client satisfaction. StageBio is seeking a full-time Laboratory Technician III to join our Mount Jackson, Virginia facility. Primary Responsibilities Include: Perform all aspects of the histology process; working with all species of laboratory animals and occasionally with human tissue Review of protocols and study instructions Operate laboratory equipment necessary to support the histology process Demonstrate proficiency in five or more technical areas Understand and conduct all processes in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulations and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Prompt and accurate recording of data Maintain a clean and organized workspace Other duties as assigned Requirements: Ability to learn multiple tasks within the field of histology Ability and willingness to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Must be capable of understanding FDA regulations, Good Laboratory Practices and StageBio’s SOPs Be very detail-oriented with both routine lab tasks and paperwork Be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Education: High school diploma required College degree preferred or 3 years’ experience in histology/pathology lab StageBio offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes employer sponsored health insurance, short-term and long-term disability, AD&D, life insurance for employees and dependents, flexible paid time off, 401(k) with match, and paid standard and floating holidays.
