Description:

Performs routine laboratory tests in various sections of the laboratory.Reports to: Director LaboratoryPerforms common testing procedures and reports test results. - -Performs instrument maintenance and troubleshooting. - -Performs quality control testing. - -Maintains supplies needed for performance of tests.Minimum Education Graduate of a Program in Discipline (Medical Lab Technician) - Required Associates degree in a Medical Laboratory Science program - Preferred. 50 weeks US military medical lab training course and minimum of 2 years of experience is accepted. - -Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. - -Required Skills Certifications: - -Required Skills Licenses: ASCP certification or AMT or State of Tennessee MLT license or obtained within first year of employment - -Minimum Work Experience 6 months experience as a Medical Lab Technician - PreferredEqual opportunity and affirmative action employers and are looking for diversity in candidates for employment: Minority/Female/Disabled/Protected Veteran
