The ideal candidate will be responsible for staying updated on legal and regulatory developments relevant to the Public Companies practice group, assisting in preparing client alerts and publications, developing practice resources, maintaining work product archives, coordinating with various departments, and supporting business development efforts.Job Duties:Keep current on all legal and regulatory developments relevant to the Public Companies practice groupDevelop topics for and assist in the preparation of client alerts and similar publicationsDevelop practice resources to enhance know-how exchange within the Public Companies practice groupCreate, maintain, and update archives of work product and know-how within the Public Companies practice groupMaintain and update forms and templates for the Public Companies' practice groupCollect and provide information to assist the Marketing department with business development opportunitiesCoordinate with Professional Development to enhance skills development within the practice groupCoordinate with Information Services to assess and develop new technologies for efficiency and service deliveryRequirements:Must be a licensed attorney with significant prior experience in the Public Company practice areaMinimum of 5 years of experience representing Public Companies in reporting and Corporate GovernanceMastery of substantive area of practice undertaken by the Public Company practice groupKnowledge of industries commonly advised by the firmExcellent written and verbal communication and drafting skillsConfident and engaging presenterStrong intellectual ability, interpersonal, and technical skillsSelf-starter and team playerOrganizational and time management skills with attention to detailEducation and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Massachusetts State Bar or eligible for admission through reciprocitySkills:Legal research and analysisBusiness development supportClient relationship managementProject managementProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databasesBenefits:Full range of elective benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and flexible spending accountsPre-tax commuter benefitsLife insurance, ADD, and long-term care coverageVacation time, sick time, and paid holidaysParental support benefits including backup care for children and/or adults Creative lawyering in a laid back environment is big draw for associates at this Amlaw firm.
