The ideal candidate will be responsible for staying abreast of legal and regulatory developments, developing resources, assisting in client communications, and contributing to the overall growth and efficiency of the practice group.Duties:Keep current on all legal and regulatory developments relevant to the Public Companies practice groupDevelop topics for and assist in the preparation of client alerts and similar publicationsDevelop practice resources to enhance know-how exchange within the Public Companies practice groupCreate, maintain, and update archives of work product and know-how within the Public Companies practice groupMaintain and update forms and templates for the Public Companies' practice groupCollect and provide information to assist the Marketing department with business development opportunitiesCoordinate with Professional Development to enhance skills development within the practice groupCoordinate with Information Services to assess and develop new technologies for efficiency and service deliveryRequirements:Must be a licensed attorney with significant prior experience in the Public Company practice areaMinimum 5 years of experience representing Public Companies in reporting and Corporate GovernanceMastery of the substantive area of practice undertaken by the Public Company practice groupKnowledge of industries regularly advised by the firmExcellent written and verbal communication and drafting skillsConfident and engaging presenterStrong intellectual ability, interpersonal, and technical skillsSelf-starter with the ability to work independentlyTeam player with excellent organizational and time management skillsAttention to detail is essentialEducation and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Bar in Washington, DC (or eligible for admission)Skills:Legal research and analysisProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteFamiliarity with legal databases and research toolsAbility to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clientsAdaptability to changing priorities and deadlinesBenefits Offered:Full range of elective benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and flexible spending accountsPre-tax commuter benefitsLife insurance, ADD, and long-term care coverageBackup care for children and/or adultsParental support benefitsFirm-paid life insurance, ADD, and LTDAccrued vacation time, sick time, and paid holidays Creative lawyering in a laid back environment is big draw for associates at this Amlaw firm.
