The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in a law firm advocating on behalf of banks and borrowers. They should have a strong understanding of drafting, reviewing, and negotiating loan documents, as well as working on secured lending transactions in the middle market. The candidate must be able to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, provide strategic guidance, and assess risks. Additionally, they should possess excellent communication and management skills and be licensed or able to attain a license to practice law in the State of Ohio. Duties:Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents, including credit agreements, loan agreements, and security agreementsWork on secured lending transactions primarily in the middle market, serving smaller businesses and publicly traded companies with debt financingEnsure compliance with laws and regulations governing banking and finance transactionsProvide strategic guidance and risk assessment to clientsMaintain a book of at least 300kCollaborate effectively with teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school8-10 years of experience in a law firm advocating on behalf of banks and borrowersAbility to attain or possess a license to practice law in the State of OhioStrong understanding of banking and finance laws and regulationsExcellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyStrong communication and management skills Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Certifications:License to practice law in the State of Ohio (or ability to attain) Skills:Drafting and negotiating loan documentsSecured lending transactionsCompliance with banking and finance laws and regulationsStrategic guidance and risk assessmentCommunication and management skills This full service law firm has offices in Canton, Akron and Cleveland.
