DNC is hiring Instructional Program Designers. They are responsible for the design elements and materials for the organizing program, from slides, worksheets, templates, workbooks for staff, organizers, and volunteers to all paper content for retreats, onboardings, workshops, and management training. Designers will be responsible for working across teams to design content and measuring success of specific pieces of content to iterate. Furthermore, they will work with the HQ and state teams to craft brand identities for a range of unique priorities. At their core, the Designer will thrive off building beautiful, functional, and streamlined content that enables teams to learn and function more effectively. Responsibilities: Conceptualize new and innovative ways to present leadership, organizing, and training content through visual tools Collaborate with Programs staff to bring frameworks, tools, tactics, and strategy to life in visual design and content Continuously build and strengthen relationships with Leadership Development staff to identify challenges with content and implement engaging and creative solutions. Design organizing and leadership development content for all program participants, from volunteers to organizers to senior staff Update and create design templates for frequent workshops and learning modules across all innovative programs and states Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC’s mission You’ll be a good fit for this role if… You build visual designs of complicated concepts and ideas in your spare time -- doodling is your thing! You love visualizing complex content to strengthen user experience and engagement You love to nerd out and evaluate the effectiveness of visuals You are excited about graphic design principles grounding all program materials You believe that seamless content and training can build a better workplace You dream about a perfectly designed slide deck/ worksheet with matching colors & fonts that communicates complex ideas and strategies You are passionate about organizing to build leadership for the progressive movement. Spanish fluency is preferred, but not required. Travel Required: Low, 10% Salary : The salary for this position is $66,000, on an annualized basis. This is a full-time exempt position with an end date of November 15, 2024. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500. Due to FEC regulations, only U.S. citizens or U.S. green card holders are eligible to apply for this role. The DNC requires all employees to be "up to date" on COVID-19 vaccination status as prescribed by the CDC as a condition of employment, unless otherwise prohibited by applicable law.
