Practice Area: ERISA/Executive Compensation Transactions & Compliance,ERISA - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 5 Years, A law firm located in San Diego is seeking an Employee Benefits Attorney with 5+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience counseling employers on various ERISA and non-ERISA plans, including retirement plans and health and welfare plans, and possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Duties:Counsel employers on a wide range of ERISA and non-ERISA plans and arrangements.Provide legal advice and guidance on retirement plans, health and welfare plans, and other employee benefits matters.Draft and review plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and other related documents.Assist clients in compliance with ERISA regulations and other applicable laws.Handle plan administration issues and disputes.Stay updated on changes in employee benefits laws and regulations. Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Active membership in good standing with the State Bar.Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing employee benefits law.Strong knowledge of ERISA and non-ERISA plans and arrangements.Excellent written and oral communication skills. Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Certifications:Active membership in the State Bar. Skills:Extensive experience counseling employers on employee benefits matters.Strong understanding of ERISA regulations and compliance requirements.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to draft and review complex legal documents.Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.Familiarity with health, dental, vision, and other employee benefit plans is preferred. This large, national firm does just labor and employment law, and they do it exceedingly well. They represent many Fortune 500 corporations, and the nationwide scope of their practice allows them to represent these clients in matters across the country. They get great work, are paid fairly well by industry standards, and do not work crazy hours.
