Inspects all on hand produce to assure Quality meets the highest standard. Verifies all dated product to assure shipping date meets customer expectationsJOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIESInspects all incoming shipments of Produce against good delivery guidelines, reporting results to ProcurementAccepts or rejects Produce based on condition, short weight, transit damage, grade, temperature, and other reasons. May reject product without further consultation if product doesn t meet Company s requirements/standardsConducts daily cooler walks to verify Produce quality, reporting results to QA SupervisorConducts daily cooler walks to verify all dated Fresh inventory has sufficient dating for shipment based on established minimum dating. Report results to QA SupervisorJOB REQUIREMENTS:Able to learn the standards for USDA Good Delivery guidelines for ProduceGood interpersonal and customer service skillsGood initiative and problem-solving skillsHigh level of accountabilityStrong attention to detailAble to operate or be trained and certified to operate lift equipmentSolid ability in MS Office Suite, Outlook, Excel primarilyPHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:Some work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environmentIncumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminalIncumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workdayStooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
