The ideal candidate will have experience in defending high-exposure cases involving catastrophic injuries and product liability matters. This role involves active participation in all phases of litigation, including expert discovery and trial.Duties:Work closely with a trial team to defend high-exposure cases involving catastrophic injury and product liability matters.Develop expert witness and trial strategies.Conduct and defend depositions of witnesses and experts.Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategy.Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, and other legal documents.Represent clients in courtroom appearances and arguments.Requirements:1+ years of experience in civil litigation, with a preference for experience practicing in Cook County and its collar counties.Excellent research skills to support case preparation and strategy.Strong writing skills to draft legal documents and motions effectively.Effective verbal communication skills for courtroom appearances and client interactions.Must hold an active Illinois law license.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:An active Illinois law license is mandatory.Skills:Proficiency in legal research and analysis.Strong attention to detail in drafting legal documents.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a trial team.Effective communication and advocacy skills for courtroom representation.Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
